Join us on Saturday 26 November from 2-4pm to celebrate the launch of the first Eastside Repair Cafe!
This will be a regular community event where visitors bring in broken items and learn to fix them with the help of a volunteer expert.
Repair Cafes are a global movement that reduces waste, shares skills, and builds connections within the community. You can read more about them at here.
Available repair skills will be confirmed in the week prior.
If you don’t have something in need of repair you may be interested in our skill share demonstrations which will vary each session.
Like to get more involved?
We welcome volunteers to help make the event run smoothly as well as repairers.
If you have repair skills in any of the following areas or something we have overlooked, please get in touch to register your interest!
• Jewellery repairs • Computer repairs • Electronics
• Furniture repairs • Basic bike repairs • Toy repairs
• Simple shoe repairs • Garden tool repair/ maintenance
• Clothing and fabrics repairs – sewing, darning, patching, buttons, hemming
• Have we missed something?
Alternatively, if you have a useful skill that can be easily shared in a 5 to 10 minutes demonstration, please also get in touch.
