Elicia is the lead Food Gardener at Government House & a local small scale food producer. She is a Permaculturalist who has many passions in the field of sustainability but is particularly interested in sustainable food production and healthy soil ecosystems.

Luciano will talk about his experiments with propagating seeds in coir pellets and creating small hothouses on tables.
Lunciano is the Sustainability Teacher at Corpus Christie School, working with students to grow more food in the school grounds and explore sustainability in various contexts.

Backyard Beekeeping - Laura & Frank Rittenhouse (may move to 11am)
Laura will give a brief talk and can answer your questions about beekeeping and honeybees in your garden.
Laura & Frank are backyard beekeepers with a passion for honeybees and the role they play in the environment and our food chain. Frank started beekeeping as a child in Germany helping his father, a semi-professional beekeeper. More recently both Frank & Laura worked as caretakers on a property dedicated to honeybees in NSW where they gained more experience and learnt local management practices. Their current apiary, set in their small orchard in Otago, is modest with only 5 colonies, but allows them to enjoy their hobby and is a base from which to share their knowledge of beekeeping with the broader community.

Visible Mending Q&A - Nat Mendham 9:30am - 10:30am
Nat from Eastside Repair Cafe will have examples of her beautiful visible mending on display and will be welcoming your questions about visible mending.
