Let’s talk about the Garden!

We all want the Warrane Community Garden to be a space where everyone can feel welcome and safe.

Can you help? Share your thoughts with us as we look to create some garden guidelines (including a policy for dogs) for all of our garden visitors and volunteers.

We would like to hear from as many members and perspectives of the local community as possible.

It’s great to see people of all ages using the garden to do many different things:

  • take a shortcut

  • play

  • walk their dogs

  • attend a workshop or event

  • exercise

  • pick vegies and flowers

  • use the Garden share stand

  • have a group barbecue

  • sit and relax

  • plant and grow things!

If you already visit or would like to visit the Garden for any of these activities (or something else), we invite you to join in an upcoming focus group session.

Focus group sessions will be:

  • held at the Warrane Mornington Neighbourhood Centre (WMNC)

  • small groups of approx 10 people per session

  • facilitated by an experienced community development officer

Please register your interest for:

  • a daytime session on Tuesday 27 July at 1pm

  • or an evening session on Thursday 29 July 5:30pm or Tuesday 3 August 5:30pm.

How to register?

Call or text WMNC’s Garden Coordinator on 0499 078 490, or email katie@wmnc.org.au

Please include your name, contact email/phone, which session you can attend, and how you interact with the garden.
We will then contact you to confirm your place.

Can’t make it on these dates?

Provide your thoughts in writing via email katie@wmnc.org.au or by letter to the WMNC, or arrange for a chat by 5pm, Tuesday 3 August.
